Hi!

Just want to share som experience:
*Building a car with no stress is nice - so is it for me. 5 years in building 928 turbo racecar.

*Building a car takes time. Especiallly if you dont have "it" in your family or so. Join a garage of car maniacs - everone can do that - even if you are old "30+" ;) like me. Thats my way - three garages later...

Oh, lots of car maniacs.

*During the build you take different choices like, thats is a must have (in a hardware store), even though I dont need it until the car is almost finished, and when you are there at that time in the build - you have changed your mind, twice. So that money cold have been saved...

*It costs a lot of money - you can buy a finished car for less with no work left to do - but thats no fun. And you have not learned a thing.
My car has not been started in 5 years and Im not really sure if it will work - but my heart says it was worth it.

*The happy ending is not everything, not for me anyway. Oh by the way - the car should work just fine - some tuning here and there.

I can take a momental picture next time in my garage - with me on it!
Stay tuned.

Hi again!

Today I have put castrol 35% glykol and dest water into the engine and filled the breakes and clutch with new oil. The cheap washerfluid reservoir did leak. Wy do peaple buy this cheap crap? I will stop now. Engine got its oil last week. I put the net up at the driver side. Me and my friend Carl started tho check the resistans of the battery cable - total shortcut. So - I learned quickly that he was a natural of electrics. Found the problem direct. Pulled the fuse to the homemade wiper - no big resistans..... I said pizza for free next time for Carl.

Got a picture taken of me and the car - exceeds quota it says with same size as file...Will try later.

Have a nice day!

Jonas,

Here's my experience that I had with the windshield washer fluid reservoir on my previous '85 928S. I call it my moment of stupidity.

Since my car was only driven in summer time and stored in a heated garage during winter months, I decided one day to use water inside the washer reservoir instead of anti-freeze washer fluid.

One winter day, I moved the 928 out of the garage for about an hour so that I could work on my pick-up truck. Should I say more?:banghead:

Just keep in mind that just that mistake will never happen again. There will ofcourse be another mishaps but keep them cheap.

Another story (not 928 sorry): My old "datsun" micra (from 1983 number 106 in production, to much info but but) needed oil change once - no problem - I got out the old oil and in with the new and after driving 30 km the transmission sounded more and more.... After check in the engine lots of oil there (x2). Pulled wrong oilplug....But that nissan got its gearoil again and the ride could continue without a problem.
Now 928 again, the transmission in 928 is way of in position so the mistake will never be here anyway.
