ATLANTA - Porsche Cars North America Inc. said Tuesday that its U.S. sales slid 29 percent in May compared with the same month a year ago, as the recession continued to erode sales of luxury vehicles.
The German auto maker sold 1,979 vehicles in the U.S. during the month, compared with 2,796 in May 2008.
